Hi, I am Felix.

I love creating games and focus on game system design. I am passionate about breaking games down into rules, processes and iteratively creating systems that support the overall player experience. 

 

I like to create systems that are interesting to interact with on their own and value playtesting to improve my work. I had the chance to work with various people on multiple projects and learned much about teamwork, myself and the importance of functioning communication.

 

I am a game design graduate of HTW Berlin.

I work as a Junior Game Designer for the independent games studio Maschinen-Mensch in Berlin.

I love to develop the systems underneath games and understand the outcome and experience they generate.

WORKFLOWS

WORKFLOWS

I have experienced that the way to a product immensely affects the product itself. This is why I like to plan workflows, and also try to come up with new solutions myself.

I rather work in a team than on my own. We can achieve so much more together and we all benefit from each other's experience. I have always liked to work in teams with diverse people.

I take time to think about my work and try to be analytical. I keep written project journals in which I elaborate workflows, write down what we did and reflect regularly.

I like to communicate and hear out all opinions in my team. Clarifying visions and keeping a good atmosphere in the team is key.

I am very self-motivated in all aspects of my work and I am always open and happy to learn new methods, workflows, tools ... basically anything!

I always try to keep in mind the importance of player knowledge while developing.

Thinking about how the player will gradually learn to interact with the system and be in a good flow.

I like to develop games that partly feel like toys, and I am convinced that every aspect of a game should be playful.

I have programmed in all my projects and come to understand that it is important to design in the engine. I like to figure out how I can adapt Unity in order to better balance our games and work in teams more smoothly.
